About Us

Marie and Britta are early twenty-somethings and realized the need for us youngsters to join together to inspire one another and reach out to others. As the future of the crafting industry, we hope to be inspired by what exists and inspire what is yet to come.

We wanted to do this website to give all crafts a chance to show off their crafting skills. We love to meet new crafters and to see what they create and what they love. We also wanted to host our first blog hop to provide a way for crafters to get the word out to fellow crafters about their blog or flickr stream. We all love having new people visiting our sites and commenting on creations we are proud of, right? By participating, you will be able to get new people to discover your site and your special creations. =)

What makes you a young crafter? Well, there are so many ways in which you can be or feel young. It’s not only about age but often more about how you feel! Maybe coloring stamped images makes you feel like a kid playing with crayons again. Maybe you’re new in the crafting world and are learning about crafting like a child learns about the world. Maybe you like creating projects for children or using fun images that would suit both children and light-hearted adults alike? However you may feel young, in your crafting or in your everyday life, we would love for you to join in on this community!

Marie, or Legojenta as she’s also known as online, is a student living in Norway. She is currently studying to become an elementary-school teacher, and she already has a bachelor-degree in preschool-teaching. She has been a fan of paper for a long time, starting out fascinated by origami, and then moving on to scrapbooking and cardmaking. She often has ideas pop into her head on how to use stamps in a new way, and she loves to create clean, simple and cute cards. She makes videos from time to time, where she show techniques, tips, cardmaking tutorials, organizing ideas and everything else papercrafting-related she wishes to share. If you would like to check out her work, you can go to her blog or her youtube channel =)

Britta Swiderski is a Graphic Design major at the University of Minnesota and has been scrapbooking, cardmaking and crafting for as long as she can remember. She loves to explore new techniques and teach others about them, which led her to start up a blog several years ago and now to do at least one video tutorial each week. She enjoys educating others on techniques she’s learned from others as well as come up with herself, and she’s always itching to get creative as a break from her educational obligations. She aspires to work in the crafting industry as a graphic designer and/or teacher upon graduation. For more information and inspiration, you can visit her blog or her youtube channel.
